A introductory course in Short Form improvised comedy - focusing on great scene work with extra challenges layered on top!
What to expect from the course: Learn the skills you need to play short form scenes with skill and joy!! Blanche loves great short form, especially when the scene work is fabulous and the challenges of the games are an extra somethin’ somethin’ sprinkled on top! In this course you’ll work on:
Fundamental improv skills- listening, accepting and celebrating your scene partner’s offers, creating a stable scene platform, object work and stage craft
Loads of different short form games
Hosting
At the end of the course, participants should be able to play in a variety of short form scenes, adhering to the principles covered in the course. The show case for this class is a short form set with variety of short form scenes.
